2 Weeks Left to Sponsor Marathon Walker!

62 year old Mr Hugh Saville of Twickenham, Middlesex will be power walking the 2011 London Marathon on 17 April to raise funds for the Hospital Group.  A member of the Kingston Stragglers running club, this will be his second marathon.

Hugh says “I am deeply impressed with the work of the Hospital and its clinics. Their work is focussed on places where life is extremely tough and there are many restrictions to free movement. Frequently those who suffer most are least able to get help. Sight is a precious gift that can easily be taken for granted in the UK, where there is an opticians in every High Street (and even in some superstores), and hospital treatment is widely available. I believe that everyone– irrespective of where they live or who they are –  is entitled to have access to timely ophthalmic care and the Eye Hospital ensures that in East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank this is the case”.
