Artificial Intelligence, Digital Health and the Eye – Geoffrey Hinton

Please join us on April 20th, 2024 at the Royal Society of Medicine, London, for a conference dedicated to the applications of Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning in Ophthalmology.  This unique and multidisciplinary gathering is aimed at the clinician with minimal computer science background, and will highlight promising areas of research and development.  Prof Geoffrey Hinton, co-winner of the 2018 Turing Prize in Computer Science, will be our keynote speaker.

This conference is the second in a MasterClass series hosted by the Ophthalmic Association of the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group (SOA).  Established in 2015, the SOA supports the academic activities of the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital.  The SOA is a global network comprised of 5 hubs and 10 chapters, led by Mr. David Verity, Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK.  The SOA unites professionals from all walks of life in support of the humanitarian work of the Order of St John.  This conference is a collaboration between the University of Toronto, surgeons at Moorfields Eye Hospital, and the Canadian Chapter of the SOA, with the support from the Canadian Priory of the Order of St John.
