One Day on Earth

Hello Everyone

It’s Friday already and time to tap out some words for the Hospital Group blog again. As it is Remembrance Day, I thought I should acknowledge those who are still in conflict over what they believe in and recall those – both Israeli and Palestinian – who are no longer with us as a result.

Today is also One Day on Earth day, when filmmakers across the planet are recording their experiences in order to create a shared archive and a film

Established in 2008, One Day on Earth's inaugural global happening took place on the tenth day, of the tenth month in 2010. It was the first ever internationally synchronised filming event and it resulted in a unique global “snapshot” capturing experiences from every country in the world, as well as an upcoming feature film.

It is interesting – and fitting – to think that Remembrance Day, 2011, might very well be further memorialised as part of this all-embracing project. It will also be thought-provoking to see what contributions are included from Israel and the oPt.
