Hospital Represented at AIWF Celebrations

Head of Fundraising and Marketing for The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group, Nicky Wynne, was greatly honoured to be included in the guest list for a very special dinner and conference commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Arab International Women’s Forum (AIWF), held in London on 11 and 12 May, 2011.

Guests at the dinner included HRH The Duchess of Cornwall and First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs,The Rt Hon William Hague.

Nicky felt extremely fortunate in being asked to attend and was able to share the work and development plans of our charity with many influential and interested women from around the world.  She was even further impressed by the highly motivational and inspirational conference the day after the dinner.  The conference title said it all:  “Women in the Arab World, Africa and Asia: Emerging Economies, Emerging Leaderships, Shaping the Future Together.”

AIWF serves as a voice of Arab women: showcasing their development and providing motivation for them to extend their knowledge, ability and competence in business, professional and public life.

Absent at these special events was Founder and Chairman of AIWF, Mrs Haifa Al Kaylani.  The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group passes on our heartfelt condolences to Mrs Al Kaylani for the sad loss of her husband, Ambassador Wajih Al Kaylani.

The Eye Hospital Group would like to thank the AIWF for enabling Nicky to attend these events.
