The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group, on behalf of The Lord Vestey, would like to extend its warmest gratitude to our wonderful corporate sponsors of this year’s Patron’s Reception.
The event, which will be held in Charterhouse in London on 24th March, has attracted over £1,000 in wine and water support – as well as numerous donations of auction items that will be bid for on the evening.
Red and white wine at the reception will be by Château Canet, who have also donated a wonderful weekend break on the stunning Canet estate and a case of wine as auction prizes.
The 45 hectares of vineyards of Château Canet are located in the middle of a natural heaven, the Balcons de L’Aude in France's Minervois region; a great wine “terroir” made up of clay and limestone soil.
The traditional 19th century Canet estate is today recognised as one of the leading “domaines” of Minervois. The prize-winning vineyards are complimented with 3 hectares of olive groves and over 65 hectares of farmland and pine forests. The setting is truly enchanting with all the buildings nestled in the heart of the estate. There are uninterrupted views over the vineyards and olive groves to the distant Alaric mountains. It is a perfect place to unwind and soak in the beauty of the South of France.
Costs of transportation and delivery of the wine to Charterhouse have been waived and we are pleased to thank wine merchant Gerrard Seel Ltd, who will also be delivering a £70 Magnum of San Vicente 2004 as an auction prize on the night!
Gerrard Seel was founded in 1984 specifically to sell high quality wines to Restaurants and Company Dining Rooms. Primarily specialising in fine Burgundy, the catalogue now covers most areas of the world and every care is taken to ensure the “typicity” of each wine.
Less potent refreshment for the evening is to be generously provided by Hildon Water, which has long been the water of choice at prestigious venues such as The Savoy, The Royal Opera House, Guards Polo Club and the House of Commons.
We are most grateful to all three companies for their wonderful support of our work!
All funds raised from this prestigious event will go towards our Patient Relief Fund – helping the most impoverished families in the West Bank and Gaza.
