Sharegift

Registered charity, the Orr Mackintosh Foundation has set up a scheme called ShareGift, which provides a solution to the problem of unwanted small shareholdings.

Even if you have only one or two shares, ShareGift can help you dispose of them charitably.

Millions of pounds are tied up in wasted assets, which are of no value to their owners because they cost more to sell than they are worth. ShareGift aggregates and sells these parcels of donated shares, giving the proceeds to a wide range of UK charities.

Donations are made as unrestricted funding and charities may choose to put donations received towards core costs if they wish.

When considering charities for future ShareGift donations, Trustees survey the charitable interests of share donors. Though you will not be able to stipulate that the proceeds from the sale of your particular shares come to the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group, we will be added to their roster of potential beneficiaries.
